On October 6, I published an article entitled “Mid Terms? Don’t Let Lethargy Kill Our Legacy,” but to my surprise, no one made much of a stir. I began wondering whether America is somewhere in the lurch, hiding behind the bushes, or whether Americans are not watching television and observing what is happening in France.
What is occurring in France is our future if we stay aloof, hidden, and disinterested. What does it take to make an American see the danger we are in? Are Americans too numb to see that the philosophy of “live and let live” has never saved a nation and never will?
Are we still the land of the free and the home of the brave? Have our colleges produced enough graduates with liberal and radical views to form a majority? Are we truly the world’s imperialist bullies? Is capitalism oppressing Americans—and do we need communists and Marxists to rescue us?
Prolific writer Todd Starnes notes what Speaker of the House Mike Johnson had to say about getting up, getting out, and doing something about the Democratic attack on America.
Starnes said the Speaker told him, “I think this is arguably maybe the most important time for people of faith to be engaged, to really live out our faith in the public square, and to be involved in their civic affairs.”
The Republican speaker said Christians have an obligation to engage with the culture and serve as “salt and light,” warning that competing political worldviews threaten the nation’s foundations.
“Now is the time for people of faith to step forward, for Christians to stand up, speak the truth in love, but do it with clarity, conviction and consistency right now more than ever before.”
We do not have to go back very far to see the facts. There was a time when a little more faithful activity from the church, including Catholics, would have kept Barack Obama out of office, but we cannot backtrack. We can, however, wise up.
We could honestly say that it was Christians who put Obama in office.
Two Parties, Two Words, Too Much
We have only to turn on any news outlet to hear stories about what is going on in France. One thing that is abundantly clear is that the wording depends on which news outlet is reporting. Liberal outlets use the word “protest” when speaking of what is going on across France. Conservative news outlets more often use the word “riot.”
Who is correct here?
This is where it takes no genius. If theft, vandalism, arson, and other destructive behaviors constitute a protest, then this world is in worse shape than we can imagine. We need to stop lying to ourselves because people who lie to themselves are indeed losers and as it turns out they are rioters as well.
At least for the moment, we can be thankful that we have people who truly know the difference between a protest and a riot. We have a President who knows the difference, and we have something called the National Guard that will make a difference if needed.
While Communists, Marxists, Socialists, and Jihadists may not be able to rescue America, that does not mean we do not need to be rescued.
We need to be more particular about who our heroes are and have people who love America rescue it. If that is you, it is time to get up. A couple of weeks from now, you have a responsibility, a right, a privilege—an honor, you might say—to help, in some small but significant way, defend your country from the political nonsense of this hour.

Recently, Canada Free Press posted a powerful video featuring White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor, Stephen Miller. The article is entitled “Stephen Miller Just Told Millions of Americans to Vote Red in November and Rescue Their Country from Communists.”
Miller said, “The purpose of suppression polls is designed to demoralize people, to convince people that it’s not worth continuing the fight to save and RESCUE their country!”
That part of America that, in the past, always rose to meet the conflict at hand is being called upon at this particular time to stand up and defend and rescue the country.
You do not need a rifle. You do not need a bomb. You do not need a uniform. You just need to register to vote if you have not already. And if you have registered, get yourself down to the polls and perform a rescue.
We started this amazing country 250 years ago and today we need to renew our resolve to keep it going in perpetuity. It falls to us, the Americans, to save America. Consider this saying...
“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62
We are waiting for your help, America.
