Some closing thoughts for 2016: we have a lot of work ahead of us folks, a lot!

I for one am happy with the election results. I happen to be someone who also believes that there may well be a couple million or more invalid votes cast out there; the majority of which went to Hillary. But, I doubt anyone will seriously investigate this. But, who knows? I would like to think someone would! Voter ID anyone?

By the time this article is read, the Electoral College will have voted I am sure. Even if they haven't, I see no reason to write much about that. The result will be in. I will say, however, that this use of the word "conscience" by these people is way off base. Conscience requires a moral compass. Perhaps these electors need to reevaluate this aspect of who they are first. If the electors are not required to vote as the majority of voters they represent did, they should be. They represent us! Why did we even vote in the first place? If my wife tells me to pick up milk and I come home with beer, there is problem.

I am one of the tens of millions of Americans basking in the election of President Elect Donald J. Trump and his "Thank you America Tour." Merry Christmas to you too! The crowds are just as "huge" as before the election and, the liberals may want to rethink their national allegiance. Seriously folks. Liberals: maybe the United States is just not the place for you. Just saying.

The United States is a great country that, thank God, is getting itself back on firm footing. For several years now, we have allowed ourselves to get sidetracked. Easily done to people in a free nation where we, for centuries, have welcomed immigrants. We welcomed "diversity," knowing all along the diversity would blend into what we have always called "Americanism." The immigrant families I knew growing up called America their country. They even "Americanized" their names. Now, this is being argued as some act of cruel cultural submission, forced on people by hateful old white men. "English" was spoken in the homes. What is "right" or "wrong" was not measured with rainbows. Now, it is against the law to even expect a prospective employee to understand the language of this nation: English. Something is grossly wrong with this picture. This is not diversity, it is insanity.

America is what it is and always has been. Granted, there have been low points and flaws. The Southern Democrats supported slavery in the 1800's and well beyond, thats for sure. Many white (Republican?) people fought to correct this too. America has saved the planet (ie: WWI, WWII) on more than one occasion. Those who do not want to be part of "America" should just go wherever they may. It is not our place to change our ways to make our nation into something it was never intended to be. But, those who would subvert our nation by subverting the meaning of our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, our laws, our way of life seem to be beating down our door. Biting the hand that feeds them. We need a wall in more ways than one.

People who do not want to live as an American, respect our traditional Christian founding (yes it is true), and don't respect our borders really will never be comfortable here. They will sue us to force us to change to fit their ideas by twisting the meaning of our laws. We are ordered to get rid of those nasty reminders of Christ at Christmas, crosses on veteran's graves, etc. We are told that if we do not support everything from killing infants in the womb to not accepting the sex/gender God made us we are "hateful." We do not need this. I am not being nasty, I am just agreeing with them: This is not the "America" they thought it was. Mistaken identity. So, just like when you accidentally walk up to the wrong house, leave! You are not in the right country!

I am getting fed up with the straw-man, distraction of the "Hacking Russians" and the misinformation (AKA: lies) that are coming out of the mouths of folks like Josh Earnest and the other ("hateful" in my estimation) liberals that shout at us continually. But, the good news is that they are showing their true colors and maybe, just maybe, the citizens of the United States will again begin to see the light. I pray for this. Josh, you are not "Earnest."

The Russians may well be attacking our Democracy, what is new about that? But they are doing it on the heals of the current administration that has been attacking us from the White House and Capital Hill for years, that is for sure. The unprecedented "tyranny" that is now being perpetrated on this nation by the elite, the "beautiful people," the Democrats actually, is WRONG! It is treason and needs to be punished.

These people, in my book, are trying to overthrow this election, not the Russians; this government and our process. They have set out to subvert the elected government of this nation. This is treason, nothing short of it. I am really about at my whits-end. I know some will argue back "free speech." Yes, we have "free speech." But "free speech" is not a suicide note. Frankly, the "America" these people claim we "are" is not "America" I know.

What is missing in this nation is a morally based code to live by. We all know that.

So, I must leave you with this food for thought from 1 Samuel. I have included this quote because of the "fake news" hype promoted by those who are the very perpetrators themselves as I wrote above (and for years). People are calling for more laws, more legislation to control this "fake news." As Pogo (old cartoon strip) once said "We have met the enemy and it is us." The solution is something that must begin in our homes. Look at 1 Samuel and then cross reference it to what Christ said as being the basic rules to live by. The responsibility lays in us folks, not the government, not Facebook!

1 Samuel 8: 6-22

But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights."

10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, "This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day."

19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles."

21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. 22 The Lord answered, "Listen to them and give them a king."

Then Samuel said to the Israelites, "Everyone go back to your own town."

Be careful what you wish for folks. You just may get it!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and God Please Bless America!
