Despite America being founded on Judeo-Christian principles which are essential to American freedom, our ruling class and pop culture have been steadily moving away from Christianity the past about half century. Education has purged Christianity from most curriculums, entertainment routinely ridicules Christians, and progressives constantly harp on “separation of church of state” to eradicate any matters of faith from the public square. And that is precisely the goal, radical leftists are intent on severing Americans from their Christian heritage because without God in the conversation, the state can claim supremacy and subordinate individual rights.
Most Americans instinctively understand protecting our God given rights is integral to preserving freedom, and it is Christian tenets that explain we were created free by God, so only God can take what God has given. However, the secular left must remove God from the equation, so it can claim absolute authority in granting whatever rights the people are allowed. It’s about power.
To understand that Christianity is vital to maintaining liberty, we need only observe the impending collapse of European culture and how it has already manifested in unbelievable losses of individual rights. In England, freedom of speech is already lost; the British are slow to prosecute child sex traffickers, but they are swift in arresting thousands of Britons for social media posts critical of illegal immigration or militant Islam. In Germany, it’s illegal to criticize politicians; and the German government has been trying to outlaw opposition parties.
Western civilization was born in Europe by Christian nations asserting common Christian morality and democratic principles to govern justly. Freedom is a western concept, and the United States perfected it in our founding documents by enshrining our “inalienable rights endowed by our Creator.” So how did Europe lose sight of liberty and is now steadily imposing tyranny on its people?
The short answer is Europe, the former bastion of Christianity, has abandoned Christianity. Mass illegal migration has diluted European society with rapidly growing Muslim populations. While some blame radical Islam for eroding European society, Islam is not to blame. The culprit is godless Europeans; European church attendance has collapsed to a tiny fraction. Their secular rulers have forfeited their Christian foundations and even banished any expressions of Christianity from public life while giving license to migrant Muslims to impose Sharia Law and celebrate publicly. Islam is conquering Europe because European Christians long ago surrendered.
Europeans have not only abandoned Christianity; they are ashamed of it. Militant Islamic terror has been targeting Christians for years most notably with regular attacks on European traditional Christmas Markets. To stem the violence, the European solution is not to better protect Christians and prosecute violent Islamic terrorists; their solution is to eliminate Christmas Markets. Across Europe, open displays of Christianity are being removed. Christmas Markets are becoming Winter Markets and schools are eliminating any mention of Christ from their Christmas programs.
While America has been on the same deadly path, we are fortunately lagging the imminent demise of Europe, so we can learn from their disastrous mistakes. Most Americans are still Christians and adhere to Christian values, but we must redouble efforts to preserve our Christian roots and ensure Christianity remains integral to American culture and public life.
Unlike Europe, church attendance is surging in the United States thankfully led by Generation Z seeking truth because they have been left empty by the hollow promises of secular indulgences of hedonistic lifestyles. Revivals on college campuses are growing thanks in large part to Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA. Public prayer is still acceptable and common in many parts of the country.
While President Trump is not a particularly spiritual man, he recognizes Christianity is vital to American greatness. He regularly consults with American clergy. His administration is the most pro-life in history. His Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also recognizes the importance of religion and has vowed to restore the Chaplain Corps in the U.S. military by purging the secular restrictions on military Chaplains and making open worship acceptable again. He has restarted regular worship services at the Pentagon.
The United Stated Army was founded on 14 June 1775 and just a few weeks later General George Washington recognized the importance of ministering to troops in battle and therefore created the Army Chaplain Corps on 29 July 1775. Christianity has always been an important part of American culture and public life.
The Democrat Media Complex will howl that the United State is not a Christian nation, but it most certainly is a nation of Christians. Most Americans know this and more are being drawn to the Gospel message and also realizing American freedom only survives if Christianity thrives. On the path to Babylon, Europe as we know it will tragically most likely not survive, but we can avoid their fate by learning from their mistaken unbelief.
Faith in God is the inescapable cornerstone of American culture; we only need reclaim it and America will be great again. Thank God Americans are embracing Christianity again. All praise Emmanuel, God with us! Merry Christmas!!!
