Bonnie Chernin column
In 1986, Bonnie Chernin attended her first pro-life convention where she met author Ann Saltenberger and received a copy of her outstanding book, "Every Woman Has the Right to Know the Dangers of Legal Abortion." This book inspired Bonnie to become actively involved in the pro-life movement.

In the early 1990s, Bonnie volunteered at the office of Manhattan Right to Life, and began writing letters and op-ed pieces for local newspapers on the topic of abortion.

In March of 2000, Bonnie founded Jews For Life, the first Jewish pro-life website on the Internet reflecting the traditional Jewish pro-life perspective on abortion. Jews For Life was an active and vital presence online for many years.

In 2018, Bonnie launched The Jewish Life League. Bonnie passionately believes that life, both born and unborn, is sacred and that the "pro-choice" position of mainstream Jewish organizations is antithetical to the traditional teachings of the Jewish faith.

Bonnie is an accomplished classical pianist and prolific writer. She is a Certified Professional Coach assisting women in achieving their life and career goals.

Bonnie's website is JewishLifeLeague.org. To read more of Bonnie's articles, see her site's blog.
