Having just declared that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior, a shooter’s bullet struck Charlie Kirk in the neck, and he toppled over at his speaking engagement at Utah Valley University.

He was thereafter pronounced dead at the hospital where he had been fighting for his life. Co-founder of Turning Point USA, Kirk was conducting one of the stops on his "America Comeback Tours."

There have been very few young ministers of the gospel with more of a flare for communicating with young people. Kirk would invite all those with questions to the front of the line. He would then cheerfully and carefully assuage many young people to change their minds and concede to a better way of thinking.

This is where his arch enemy, Satan, the so called god of this world directed his hatred toward Charlie Kirk. But just as he dumped his hatred on Jesus Christ at the point of his sufferings, he failed. He won a battle, but he completely lost the war.

Likewise, the deadly attack on Charlie Kirk is the signal for Satan’s ultimate loss.

God has promised that in the last days he will pour out his Spirit on all flesh and chief among them will be the young people.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2: 28).

Let the waves of young people begin to come forward. Let those who knew that Charlie Kirk was on the mark come and finish the work he had begun.

Call the entire country, the world, to the front of the line and finish what Charlie Kirk was saying to them all.

No fear, no shame, no hesitation – get the work done. The Lord is calling you.

There are 10,000 Charlie Kirks among us – we must rise to the call.

Can America be healed? Can Americans yet be used in service to the Lord?

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

There is no doubt.

Three things Charlie Kirk showed us that we must finish.

1. Kirk was a lover of the United States of America. He was unashamed of his country and his President Donald Trump, and could tell you of all the good done in this land from the days of the founders to the very moment he died.

2. He was proud of his Lord Jesus Christ and was willing to profess his name to all who would hear.

3. Charlie Kirk was carrying out the Great Commission every day of his life. We must do the same.

What is the Great Commission?

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28: 18-20).

The call has gone forth – let all the Charlie Kirks of America stand and begin to finish the work!
