Clear & obvious prophetic signs of Christ's expected return

It's obvious to many biblical followers that we are definitely living in tumultuous times. Over the course of the last 20+ years, we've seen a slow decline in the followers of Christ (in the United States). I've had the opportunity of speaking in a number of churches around the country and I've noticed that the vast majority of their church attendees are over 50 years old. Of course, there are some exceptions to this, but sadly, it seems that many from the millennial generation have chosen not to follow Christ. I am sincerely praying that this will change.

Here are some obvious signs of Christ's coming that you should contemplate:
  • Biblical territories identified in scripture (currently represented by countries) have chosen to actively oppose the state of Israel. They include Russia, Iran, Syria, Turkey and China. Soon, Russia and China will participate in joint military exercises in the Indian Ocean. China falls into this category because it is the obvious that this is a country which maintains a two million man army from "the east," as referenced in the book of the Revelation.

  • Prior to Christ's return we will see the complete restoration of Israel, as a nation, which now includes Jerusalem (since the conclusion of the 6 day war in 1967) ... The re-birth of the nation of Israel began in 1948. Over 1878 years had expired since the city of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple were destroyed by the Roman Empire.

  • Man's recent obsession with cellphones and computers makes the control of men (possibly through a computer chip) by the anti-Christ possible. Interestingly, there was a provision in the first Obama Care legislation that called for Obama Care users to have chips placed in their body in order for one to have access to this federal medical insurance program. This provision was stripped from the legislation prior to Congressional approval.

  • There will a time prior to Christ's return where there will be an explosion of knowledge (Dan. 12:4). This has clearly been demonstrated during the last five to six decades.

  • 2 Timothy 4:11 tells us that believers (in the last days) will "not endure sound doctrine" and in 1 Timothy 4:1 there will a "falling away from the faith." Clearly we can see this when there recently has been a lot of social pressure on believers who object to certain lifestyles (i.e., gay & transgender) that the Bible states as sinful. Recently Pope Francis labeled Christian fundamentalists (in Argentina) as "a scourge." Ironically, these same 'fundamentalists' are condemned because they try to follow the Bible & their faith closely.
These are just some of the signs we've witnessed as a country over the last few decades. There are many more that I will include in some future articles. God bless you and have a Merry Christmas!
