Wake up, California!

The Democrat Party is now showing how ineffective their policies really are. All you have to do is look at the state of California and you can clearly see how these liberal policies are hurting our economy, as well as our social and our legal environment.

People are actually leaving the state because of a variety of issues that include the following:

Criminals are, en masse, rampaging cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco and are not held responsible for their robberies if the value of their theft is under $900. Obviously this hurts retail stores of all sizes. Sadly because of policies initiated by our state’s leftist legislators and governor, many in the local police forces are impacted and are slowly losing staff.

Liberal Democrat politicians are encouraging the release of many of criminals from jail too. Also, Democrats are NOT fully enforcing illegal alien crossings of our border to Mexico. Why is this important? Cities like Tijuana have enormous crime issues including problems with gangs who export drugs into this country. This issue alone saddens me because I personally know of 4 (former classmates) who died at a relatively young age due to illegal drug addiction.

Now Democrats in our state are proposing to implement a “mileage tax.” They propose to annually charge each car owner a 3 to 4 cent tax per mile driven on an annual basis to its citizens who are car owners in our state. Currently California has, by far, the largest gasoline tax in the country (which currently stands at 66.98 cents per gallon). No wonder travelers fill up their tank in west Arizona before they travel into our state.

Further, Newsome still enforces strict mandates when people enter arenas for sporting events. Recently, I went to see a hockey game at the San Diego Sports Arena. It took more than a half hour for them to see if I was free from the COVID 19 virus. Then they wouldn’t give me a ticket unless I could show my result on my iPhone (but only if I had a connection to my email) which I didn’t. Obviously this saddened me because I passed their test. Because of these strict state sanctioned rules forced on me, I had to leave the arena.

All throughout San Diego County there are many vacant business stores and office spaces. I have never seen anything like it! As a former small business lender and banker, I am deeply saddened by these occurrences brought on by our state and local governments.

It is any wonder why our state for the first time in decades have actually lost a congressional seat in the U.S. congress? Clearly people understand that between the high state income taxes, property and local taxes, Democrats who control our state are turning off its citizens.

They (the Democrats) are determined to have people make public transportation the main way people should get around in their community. Yet all you have to do is see the present day ridership. It’s not even 20%. All you have to do is look at buses and trains around Southern California and view the number of folks riding these modes of transportation. They are practically empty, yet Democrats around the state continue to push this (financially) losing proposition (especially when it comes to financing these modes of transportation).

So, what do you do? Vote liberals out of office – all of them!
