The government: out with one bully in with seven worse

Matthew 12:43-45 New International Version (NIV)

43 "When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.(A) That is how it will be with this wicked generation."

I have spent much time studying the culture of feminism and anti-male virulence. I even thought of writing a book "Boys Will Be Girls." I discovered that had already been done, by Christina Hoff Sommers. So, I didn't attempt a book, but I have written about the directors of culture who major in gender neutralizing by the feminizing of males. They generally occupy space in universities and septic think-tanks.

Mr. Louie Verrechio http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/verrecchio/120516 and I have our differences but they are essentially minor...or minor on essential issues. On this issue we are four-square allied.

Know this about me! I grew up, before soy milk, as a male-boy, young man, on the playing fields and in the gymnasiums of Dorchester/South Boston, MA. I knew all about bullies. I learned much about bullies. Some of which I want to share with you now.

I am absolutely anti-bully, which is not something I can say about the "anti-bully" bullies — the cultural bullying directors, with all of their bull dreck.

There are many styles of bullying: the ferocious looks and the threatening shifted baseball caps and pants-at-half-ass bully-costumes; the verbal menacing with the desire to coerce, intimidate, and compel; the shoving, bumping, slapping, punching, etc., etc.; the politics of "correctness" and "hate-crime" prosecution; the peer group pressures; and the classroom pedants who berate and abuse their captive-disciples opinions and beliefs, holding the potential of a drecky grade if the student disagrees with the pedantic bully. On and on and on, as far as the human imagination can...imagine.

I interpose a personal anecdote that was one of the most beneficial lessons I learned as a young college student. I was attending a college in Southern California during the Vietnam Police Action upheavals on the college campuses. The college I was at was getting a daily dose of such as the Weathermen, Ayres-Dohrn, and SNCC assaults. Most of the courageous faculty and admin spent their whole day being bullied into silence, following the directions of the bullies, and quaking in cowardice. Because I wasn't raised to quiver in the presence of bullies, I challenged.

I was enrolled in a philosophy class and was receiving the highest grade in that class. The young UCLA grad pedant, going by the title of "philosopher" — a "lover of wisdom" — asked me into his office. He pushed a formal looking paper across his desk and asked me to read it and sign it.

It was a recall petition, requiring signatures. I asked him "Who are you trying to recall?" He said, "Ronald Reagan!" I was a bit startled. Reagan had just defeated Ed Brown in the California gubernatorial race. I, having been raised in an Irish Catholic, Social Laborite, Democrat Party household had voted against Reagan and for Brown. That is what I had learned I was supposed to do for my entire life. I was actually told by a relative that the only people going to Hell are the Republicans and Protestants.

I pushed the petition back at the prof. and said, "Reagan was just elected by the people. He hasn't even been sworn in yet. Don't you think he has a right to serve in a democratic Republic?" The lover of wisdom's answer was, "No! He is one of those conservative, right-wingers and we can't allow him to serve." I could not help but smile. I'm sure he didn't like that. I just said, "I'm not signing," got up and left his office.

At grade time, I received the greatest bit of education I've received in a college. Though I had maintained an "A" throughout the semester, the pedantic-bully assigned me a "C." Leaving the classroom I paused at his office door, smiled, and said, "I won."

I've learned some basics about bullies. Bullies don't really discriminate; it's not usually about you, it's about them. They aren't even particularly careful as to whom they pick-on. It is as if they have a sado-masochistic compulsion — to inflict hurt or to have the dreck kicked out of them.

I feel obliged to add that anti-bullies do discriminate. It's about discouraging the bully — discorso faccia a faccia, or, sometimes, mano a mano. Man to man, face to face, hand to hand!

Very important to know, bullies are "lily livered" cowards. And — and this is very important to understand — they feel safe in bullying because they believe that their threats will be sufficient to intimidate others into not defending themselves. Gee, this sounds much like that which the cultural bullying directors (the CBD) are proposing: "No anti-bully bullying. Leave the monstrous federal-case hate-crime problem up to us." Yep! Leave it up to the ex officio professional bullies.

There are, as we all well know, bully-gangs. These are cowards who rely upon numbers and peer support and approval. If one knows how to go about it — and I learned how to do it — one can even turn the table on bully-gangs. It's something a young man learns to do — or at least used to learn to do before hate-crime law enforcement, running to mommy (daddy's are often absent or have already been silenced by the feminist culture, being made to believe that discipline by daddy is one of the worst forms of bullying) and to pedants and officious "guidance" counselor (who have already been educated into cultural-bullying, and have attained jobs as c. b. directors).

BULLIES ARE BY THEIR VERY NATURE COWARDS. THEY DEPEND UPON THE FALSE BELIEF THAT THEY ARE INSURMOUNTABLE THREATS TO BE FEARED.

This nonsensical, counterproductive anti-bullying campaign (another brilliant psycho-social scheme like the great "Self-Esteem" movement that was as bass-ackwards as anything I've ever seen since Drs. Spock and Kinsey) has no idea what motivates bullies. Bullies are in the midst of some fantasized rite-of-passage and they thrive on notoriety. Their names will become legend — sort of like the historically apotheosized Billy the Kid (can we call them Bully the Kids?). Their drug of choice is publicity.

What we have seen in the U.S. is the growth of gang-bangers and mad bombers. It comes with the extensive media coverage afforded these folk. To take part in these activities is the guarantee of becoming, if only, a historical footnote.

Ironically, for those with such a bully mindset, they enjoy greatly enhanced self-esteem. And the more notoriety they get, they become, in the eyes of other youth, American Idols. And when the government declares war upon them, they go from being just bullies to being t-shirt revolutionaries with their own recording labels.

Such persons have always been with us, and they will not cease to exist. In fact, in a secular-humanist culture, they will multiply like the daemons who have been swept out of one's "house," to be replaced by seven even worse.
(Matthew 12:43-45)

Typical of the progressivist cultural bullying directors — with their bull-dreck theoretical abstractions — they are the folk who are certain that human nature is malleable and in a state of progressive-biological evolution. And they are certain that THEY, of superior intellect, positions of control-authority, and bundles of grant money from silly-a__ foundations will reconstruct human nature, re-making humans in THEIR own image, thus bringing about the Brave New World: The Plutopian Garden of Hedon.

I wrote this short piece because few write about it anecdotally, though more and more good writers are presenting the realities. Verrecchio's article in renewamerica.com induced me to add my thoughts to his. I hope that the readers will at least give consideration to Mr. Verrecchio's article and to my own.
