Senator Gillibrand is the reckless liar, not President Trump!

Unfortunately, Senator Gillibrand may not "need me on [her] team to win" reelection in 2018, but if she does need me to win, then she'll lose!

I have never supported Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, New York's junior United States Senator. but I am on her email list.

Nevertheless, somehow I was added to Senator Gillibrand's email list.

Here's Senator Gillibrand's latest missive pleading for "$5 or more" and astonishing claiming to be "so grateful to have [me] on [her] team.

"Michael –

"I know that the flood of bad news out of Washington can be exhausting. In just the past few weeks:

• Former FBI Director James Comey testified that President Trump directed him to stop the FBI's investigation into Michael Flynn, making clear that this administration is a threat to the rule of law.
  
  
• President Trump withdrew the US from the Paris climate agreement, and he continues to deny the importance of fighting the proven consequences of climate change that threaten our health, our security and our economy.
  
  
• The CBO released their non-partisan analysis of the GOP health care bill, showing that it could cause 23 million people to lose their insurance by 2026.
  

"It's a lot to deal with, but we can't afford to grow weary.

"President Trump is going to keep pushing his reckless, dangerous agenda. That's why it's critically important that Democrats retake the Senate in 2018 and build a firewall against his most destructive policies.

"I'm up for reelection, and I need you on my team to win, Michael. Will you give $5 or more to help me keep standing up to President Trump's reckless agenda?

What shameless lies!

First, former FBI Director and admitted leaker James Comey DID NOT testify "that President Trump directed him to stop the FBI's investigation into Michael Flynn, making clear that this administration is a threat to the rule of law."

Comey claimed to have taken President Trump's words as a direction, but admitted that the President actually used the word "hope," not "order" or "direct."

Second, President Trump withdrew from the Paris climate agreement because it was a bad deal for the United States and offered to negotiate a better deal that is fair to the United States. He did not deny that pollution is a problem.

Third, the CBO analyses on health plans have not proven to be reliable and the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare is imploding as Senator Gillibrand and her fellow Senate Democrat embrace obstructionism.

Fourth, President Trump has been fulfilling his campaign promises to the extent of his ability while Senator Gillibrand and her fellow Senate Democrats have been "reckless" and "dangerous."

Fifth, I don't want to "help [Senator Gillibrand] keep standing up to President Trump's...agenda," because it is a sound and necessary agenda.

Unfortunately, Senator Gillibrand may not "need me on [her] team to win" reelection in 2018, but if she does need me to win, then she'll lose!
