CA Democrats continue to ignore need for new water sources like desalinization plants

As we enter the election year this November, California Democrat leadership continues to show extreme allegiance to a radical environment agenda around the state. It now seems unrealistic to expect the state's Democrat Party to consider supporting the construction of new desalinization plants in our state.

In 1995 the newest (and only the 2nd) desalinization plant began construction in Carlsbad, Ca. The plant was supposed to be completed by 2005 but due to excessive government environmental regulations, completion took another 9 years. Today this plant creates over 25+ million gallons of fresh water daily which equates to about 10% of San Diego County's water needs.

More desalinization plants need to be constructed around California. The only other such plant in the state is located in Santa Barbara which supplies about 30% of that region's water needs. California's majority party leadership does not adequately address the crucial necessity of creating new water supply sources. Instead they are doggedly fixated on building a $90+ billion dollar speed train that will run from the north to the south of the state.

Recently the Democrat legislature issued severe and unrealistic limits on home water use which could force fines as high as $1000 (especially if a family has the audacity to shower and wash clothes in the same day). People will be limited to 55 gallons (a person) per day. (This includes watering yards, flushing toilets, doing laundry, taking baths or showers, etc.). Most people are unaware of these new stringent regulations which will be implemented sometime in the near future. Part of the reason for people being unaware of this issue is because all three of the major newspapers in the state (Los Angeles Time, SF Examiner and the San Diego Union-Tribune) as well as local radio and television news broadcasts did little reporting on this topic. This is just another sign of how environmentally extreme this political party and the media are in this state.

Farmers and other concerned citizens have also been pushing the state for more diverse water sources. This is a particularly acute problem with the recent deluge of fires that have hit California in the last 6 weeks.

California obviously needs a change of leadership. The Democrats have been in control for many decades. If you live in California or have a friend who lives here, I suggest supporting candidate John Cox for CA. Governor and telling others about him. Republican John Cox is facing an extreme leftist candidate in Gavin Newson. A number of people consider Newson even more liberal than the current Governor Jerry Brown.

Go to candidate Cox's website and show your support: www.JohnCoxforGovernor.com
