The Democrat Party is unrecognizable

Anyone who remembers the political scene of the mid-20th Century may have trouble reconciling that Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John Fitzgerald Kennedy belong to the same political party as Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
The Democrat Party is not the party of anyone's parents who as conservative Roman Catholic Democrats cheered when FDR spoke of World War II as the war to preserve "Christian Civilization," or when at JFK's inauguration he spoke "that the rights of man coming not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God."
Fifty years later, the Democrat Party in 2012 almost took God and Jerusalem out of its Party platform. Many who lived during the 1960s now ask, "What has happened to my Party where God and His holy city are no longer welcome?" The answer to this troubled question is the sad reality that the atheistic Left has taken over much of the Democrat Party. These leftists want a godless society in the United States, just like their leftist counterparts have done in Europe. Western leftists have a disdain for Israel, the Jewish people, and Christianity since they reflect the reality of the God of the scriptures and of this republic's Judeo-Christian heritage.
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, has had intimate associations with the Nation of Islam's leader and notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Ellison has also rubbed elbows with the Islamic Society of North America which is part of the CAIR-Hamas network and the Muslim Brotherhood. All of these organizations have a hatred for Israel, Jews, and the United States of America.
Under the profound anti-Israel leadership of President Obama, and Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, the likes of radical Palestinian Linda Sarsour have been invited to the White House seven times. Called by Obama a "White House Champion of Change," Sarsour supports international Muslim terrorism and the destruction of Israel. Sadly, Sarsour and Ellison have become the faces of the new Democrats.
The Pew Research Center found just how much leftism has infiltrated the Democrat Party in its views on Israel and Palestinians. In the article "Republicans and Democrats grow even further apart in their views of Israel, Palestinians," a reported "79% of Republicans say they sympathize more with Israel than the Palestinians, compared with just 27% of Democrats."
What is behind the bizarre alliance of atheistic leftism with radical Islam within the Democrat Party? Again, it comes down to the disdain for Israel, the Jewish people, and the Judeo-Christian heritage of America's republic under God. That is the glue that binds their cause.
Unfortunately, this ugly alliance grows not only within the Democrat Party, but also in the halls of Congress and in the classrooms of American universities. If FDR and JFK were still alive, they would not recognize the party they once led.
